News Letter 1

Family Lee's Life and Ministry Story in Costa Rica

Hi, this is gonna be the first news letter from Costa Rica. We've moved to Costa Rica (CR) on 7th of December and had lived in Air Bnb for two weeks and one week at the house of coworker. Finally we got to move in to our house a day before Christmas. That was how we had closed year 2018. Again, we started year 2019 in Costa Rica. We had great family time during January, because we had no work and the kids didn't have school... buying things that we needed and getting to know here and there in San Jose, and we even had family trip for a couple of days.

For us, moving means changing country... We had never moved within the same city or country... We had moved only two times after we had been married and it was from Korea to Mexico, and from Mexico to Costa Rica. We really want to praise God for be with us throughout the whole process and thanks for my family for their patience under any kinds of situation. Most of all, we really thank You, for partnering with us and praying for us.

Season  3 - New start ... & adaptation

The biggest reason for coming to CR is there is Area Office of Latin America and Caribe. They expected to have bigger partnership with Korea and Latin America and Caribe (LAC). Moreover, even there is a LAC area office in Costa Rica but CR is one of the country that doesn't have any campus ministry going on, because all the staffs are only working in the offie. Therefore, they really wanted to build the movement in Costa Rica and Learn. Therefore, this will be my work, and this is the reason that we've been moved to CR.

As we think about moving, we didn't really worry about the adaptation of our kids. Probably, for us, whether living in CR or Mexico, it is same to us... anyway, both of them are not my country where I am used to live, and in my eyes of view, it didn't have that difference. Even they speak same language!!! However, for the kids, Mexico and CR are totally different country. For them, it was the first time to change the country, school, church, and house. Right now, Sam and Nathan have little bit of hard time to adapt at school. and now, I feel like we need to pray... we haven't pray about it.. Feel sorry for them not knowing about their big changes, and now I'm praying for their new lives and new start!!!!!!

As I start campus ministry all over again....

By grace of God, we had experienced so much good things in Mexico.. We've earned so much good students, student leaders, and coworkers... Since, I left there when my ministry was going so well, whenever I go to campus in Costa Rica (University of Costa Rica - UCR) I missed so much the campus UNAM in Mexico and people there.

This feels like as I write a long like 10 pages of essay for couple of days and it erased one at a time by accident and now I have to write all over again... Maybe there is no function "Save" in the campus ministry... we have to do it all over again every time new students come and students are leaving every year to the society. And now, I feel this again in other way, I left all my faithful disciples there in Mexico, and now I have to find people again here...

Since there are many staffs near me who only go to office, I feel like their job is really easy and comfortable... However, like Levites in the Bible, they didn't do only priest job but some of them were door keepers, and do many types of different work as a Levites. In the same way, in the ministry wise, there are many different types of work in the ministry and God put me in the campus and I really want to be a faithful servant in where God wants me to be.

I will write another essay about story of Costa Rica even though I might not be able to save it again... haha!! I will do my best to write another essay...

Team Ministry

It had been a month to start working in the campus. They had started the school, and in the right time, Expedition Team from USA came and I could start working with them. It was such a blessing to have team as I start ministry in the campus. Thankfully, another A6 team is preparing to come to CR for us. (for 2 months) Also, I invited 5 Mexican Disciples to work with me. (1-2 weeks) It was really meaningful to me for them to come and help other country... So until May, the team will be here, pray for all the partnership happening here in Costa Rica.

What is going to happen

2.13-15 - Cru City Conference

2.26 ~ 5.3  A6 Team Coming

3.8 ~ 24 - Mexican team Coming

This is the first News Letter that I wrote in English... maybe lots of mistakes, but I'm so happy that now I feel like I have to write my letter in English, too, because of the people who is praying for us in Mexico and all around the world. All the friends in Capital City Baptist Church, and people in Mexico and students and disciples of UNAM and other Campuses.

Thanks all!!!!!!!!!
