Prayer Letter for May 2020

So be truly goad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while.” (1 Peter 1:6)

Life in Cuarentine....

I need to greet everyone in the midst of trouble times.

After three days of ministry, we had to switch all the ministries to online.... However, we had about 1000 contacts to call and we spent most of the time in first and second week of cuarentine... Also, during the reunion virtual, we also had good time to talk and share our lives even though it was online... Also we could tak advantage of online to meet all the students from different universities. As this year starts, we also had started the campus ministry in other campuses which is UNA & University Latina (Private). Also we could have diciples from two other private universities. (But just one for each). The ministry in UNA, and U Latina went really well and rapid so at the first week of starting ministry, we could open the reunion inside of the campus with the students from there. It was great joy and we were so excited to start new ministries in these campuses and We were also so excited as we prepare the ministry in UCR with the student leaders.

However, as the cuarentine is getting longer, we kinda had difficulties to show the direction of the ministry... Our dicipleship is very focusing on having dicipleship with others, how to evangelize the gospel... and there is no point of it if we don’t actually do it... So I felt little bit of frustrating as I do the dicipleship with them...

Therefore, as the Month of May starts, we started 30 days of Challenging of Giving thanks and try to help them to find the meaning of cuarentine during this month.

Leaving STinters

Cru has special program called “STINT” - Short Term Internship

The students who want to experience the mission field for one or two years, they can stop their study for a while and involve in mission work as a full time. During this time, many students chanllenged and commit their lives as a missionary or full time staff. I also decided to be a full time staff in Cru during the time of STINT in China.

We had three stinters with us in Costa Rica, and after two months of cuarentine here, we had decided to send them back to Korea for the safety. Also, we thought that it would not be a good idea to spend time like this at least 3 or 4 more months.

After they had left, my husband and I spent time to organize our new mission center in Costa Rica... We had it only for a year, but still have so many memories with stinters and students. It was very sad to clean and get rid of things in there...

Please pray for our heart and we have to take over the diciples that the stinters was working on... I don’t want to lose them just because their mother in faith were leaving... We would pray for their heart to have the desire of dicipleship so that we can continue to do it.

This is Zoom Screen when we did Good bye to the stinters... We couldn’t even do the official farewell with them....

Our mission center was almost like a studio to do the broadcasting... Reunion General por zoom, Instagram Live, Editing video, and so on... I miss that place so much.

Sam and Nathan is doing OK during this time... I couldn’t imagine that how they could be at home all day long... But I relized that they are big enough to understand this situation and they are trying to find things that they can do by their own. Thesedays, Sam and Nathan is drawing the map of the countries and making world map on the wall.

Sam is doing online class from 8-4 and Nathan had started his school from 2 weeks ago. Please pray for their health and heart.

“As a result, Christ will make your hearts strong, blameless, and holy when you stand before God our FAther on that day when our Lord Jesus comes with all those who belong to him” (1 Thessalonians 3:13)

“Dear brothers and sisters, I love yo and long to see you, for you are my joy and the reward for my work. So please stay true to the Lord, my dear friends.” (Philippians 4:1)
